Letter, 1844 Aug. 15, from Smith, in Blount Springs, Cullman Co., Ala., to R.G. Hazard in Peace Dale, R.I., discusses the order of 53 pea jackets for his servants, including the height and size of each servant, and the order of a second lot of 20 pea jackets for the servants of Mrs. D.A. Hall. The height and size of each servant was given for that order also. The jackets were to be made of twilled cloth fulled.
